FIRE FIGHTER No. 40 is a flame and heat resistant embroidery thread which is indispensable to motor sport clothing, workwear and protective clothing. FIRE FIGHTER No. 40 is also used to embroider seat cushions of airplanes and wherever special safety aspects are essential. FIRE FIGHTER No. 40 fibre used for NOMEX®. It is normally difficult to dye 100 % aramid efficiently but through our Research & Development, MADEIRA has succeeded in producing a range of popular colours. MADEIRA’s quality ensures good running properties and FIRE FIGHTER complies with ISO standards ISO-6941 /ISO 15025. Resulting in confidence and power for the sponsors. FIRE FIGHTER contains NOMEX® branded fibres from Du Pont®. NOMEX® is a registered trade mark of Du Pont®.

Special features:Due to the particular thread texture, the make-up is 950 m per spool - it would not be possible to wind up 1000 m of this thread onto one spool.

When using FIRE FIGHTER, don't forget firefighter bobbin thread & backing is strongly recommended.
For best sewing results we recommend the use of needle size #75/11-80/12
